About Us
Woodland Lake is owned and run by an English family, comprising of Gary, Liz, Peter and Thomas, we purchased the property in 2019. The 5.5-acre lake is situated in beautiful Limousin countryside, which can be found in the central west region of France within the idyllic historic village of Compreignac.
Flights are approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from the UK to Limoges, with tranfers to the lake less the 20 minutes.
The lake also attracts plenty of wildlife to keep the nature lover’s content. Amongst the species you may see are wild boar, deer, ducks, kingfishers and woodpeckers to name but a few, we have a National Park and the forestry on our doorstep.
We are a fully registered French lake for fishing both day and night. No fishing licence is required as the lake is licensed, so all you have to do is arrive and fish.
